1. A
student who has passed Higher Secondary Part-II
Examination (Class-12th) of the J&K Board
of School Education or an |
equivalent examination recognized by
the
University of Jammu
is
eligible for admission to B.A/B.Sc. Part-I. |
2. Re-appear in One
Subject/Compartment cases in Higher Secondary
part-II (12thClass) are also eligible for
provisional admission. |
3. A
student, whose result is declared by the J&K Board, may
be admitted as per admission rules of the University,
subject to the |
availability of
seats. |
4.
A
student with a break in academic career will not be
considered for admission in the college. However, the
Principal may condone |
one
year’s break in case he feels convinced about the reason
leading to the break in studies. |
5.
Except
in case of Electronics, Geology, Geography and
Functional English and Computer Applications. No
applicant for B.Sc. Part-I shall |
take up any subject unless he/she had taken up the same
subject in the previous examination passed. |
6.
If a
student after being admitted, remains continuously
absent for ten days, he/she will be removed from the
college rolls and shall not |
be
re-admitted in the same class during the same year. The
year so wasted will be counted as a year of break and
dealt with under |
appropriate
clause. |
7.
No
application for B.A/B.Sc. Part-I can take up Mathematics
as subject unless he/she has qualified the Higher
Secondary part-II or |
equivalent
examination with Mathematics as one of the subject. |
8.
Change
of subject is not allowed in B.A/B.Sc. part-II or
B.A/B.Sc part-III. |
9.
Admission to a particular subject or combination of
subject is purely subject to the availability of seats. |

Academic session starts from June/July and concludes in
March/April every year. |
Admission Process: |
1. Admission is open to state
subject and the children of central government
Employees, Army and para-military personnel posted in
J&K |
State. |
2. The
admission Schedule is announced every year containing
the detailed information and is published in the local
newspapers much |
earlier than the start of the admission. |
3. Students seeking admission
in B.A/B.Sc. Part-I shall apply on prescribed
application forms, which can be obtained from the
college |
office. They
will attach one attested copy of the marks sheet of the
Higher Secondary Part-II or other equivalent examination
and |
provisional certificate
with the application. They should mention three
combination choices within stream in order of preference
as per |
the combinations
available in the college.
No
change of combination shall be allowed after the
admission.
Students are advised |
in
their own interest to apply for the other streams and to
other colleges as well. |
4.On
receipt of application forms, select lists shall be
drawn on the basis of merit (Marks obtained in 12th
class). |
5.
Students belonging to reserve categories as listed in
SRO-126 dated: 28-08-1994
shall
get additional weight age of 5% marks (i.e.
30 |
marks out of 600). |
6.
(a)
Submission of the formal forms & the admission of the
selected candidates
shall be done only after
the merit list of the selected |
candidates is put up on
the
notice board. Forms can be had from the college office
on cash payment of Rs. 100/- (One hundred). |
The forms duly filled in and signed by the parents or
guardian shall be submitted to the college office on or
before the expiry of |
last date notified
separately. The applicants, who submit the admission
forms with all the requisite certificates attached
therewith |
but do not deposit the fee within the prescribed time,
shall be dropped from the merit list and next applicants
shall be considered |
for admission. |
(b)
Subject to availability of seats, a second and third
merit list shall be notified. |
(c)
The Principal reserves the right to accept or reject any
application for admission without assigning any reasons. |
7. Documents to be attached with the admission form: |
(a)
Provisional
certificate (in original) issued by the institution last
attended. |
(b)
Detail marks certificate of the class last passed
(original and two attested photocopies). |
(c)
Character certificate issued by the head of the
institution last attended. |
(d)
In case of the private candidate a character certificate
should be signed by a First class magistrate / Prof. of
the college / |
Panchayat Sarpanch / M.L.A. Concerned / S.H.O. |
(e)
Three recent Passport Size Photographs |
(f)
Matriculation
certificate in original and two attested copies. |
(g)
Transfer certificate of father or Guardian in case
children of military / Para-military personnel or
central Govt. employees. |
(h)
Reserved category certificate from the competent
authority as stated in SRO-126 dated 28-08-1994 in
original and two attested |
copies. |
(i)
Students passing from school Board or university other
than J&K Board of School Education or Jammu university
are required to |
produce migration certificate and attested copies there
of. |
(j)
The
following undertaking in form of an affidavit on
Non-judicial stamp paper of Rupees three (Rs. 3.00) duly
attested, from every |
selected candidate. |
(k)
The following undertaking in form of an affidavit (duly
attested) in case of one year gap students. |
(L)
The following undertaking in form of an affidavit (duly
attested) in case of students who have passed Higher
Secondary Part-II or |
equivalent examination from a board other than J&K
Board. |
(M)
Affidavit for Re-appear candidates. |
